Dear Diary,
Gee whiz, diary! I had such a wonderful day
today. I woke up fresh and ready to get things done! Actually I was
freezing because I forgot to dry the blanket I had in the washer and
had to crack myself out of fetal position. But it got better after that.
First thing I did was Wii Fit, trying all the yoga positions. Since
I've done actual yoga I figured a Nintendoga game (ha I'm funny) would
be easy. Not at all. Particularly painful were the poses that made you
balance on one leg. Right leg-solid. Left leg- not so much. That's what
I get for slacking off physical therapy after knee surgery.
When I was done with Wii Fit I did some house cleaning, brushed the dogs and took a painfully hot bath, after which I spend a couple hours looking up recipes I could cook while watching TCM. Good times. Also: I know what you're thinking Elizabeth shut up.
Then I had to go to the grocery store to buy things with which to sammichify. I even got deli meat by myself for the first time! I always feel awkward when doing things like that, and the lady behind the counter made me feel a bit like a library patron when she explained that she had no idea what I was pointing at and had to actually tell her.
Then I made the sammich. It was
glorious.
Then I drove up to the Paseo Verde library to have lunch with Caprice. I only got sort of lost, and Caprice called me to talk me down, like a traffic control operator help a nun land a plane. (That's a Boy Meets World reference, for those of you keeping score at home).
Then (man, my Composition AP teacher would kill me if she read this. Then then then then then.) I showed her where I would walk during my breaks back when I was a shelver at PVL.
Then I drove home (didn't get lost. although I wasn't entirely sure where I was until I got there) with enough time to make it to the Youth Services meeting back at my own library. Nothing exciting there.
Then I ate Spongebob shaped macaroni and cheese while watching Nickelodeon. And that was my day.
Golly diary! I hope tomorrow will be as swell as today. I better go to bed extra early so I can have fun right away!
Don't worry, I have a blanket now.
