So I decided to get the Storm. It's not an easy decision, let me tell you. I went in to the Verizon store with half a dozen phones in mind, including the enV 2, the Krave, and the Voyager Titanium. I hated all three of them in person. The Voyager looked ugly and felt cheap. The Krave just didn't feel responsive and typing on the QWERTY keyboard was all but impossible with its cool looking but suddenly annoying flip cover. The enV 2 was the biggest dissapointment, feeling neither sturdy or being any more elegant than my comatose enV.
After a lot of thinking, I decided to pay a little more to get a little more. I decided to get either a Blackberry Pearl or Curve. But then I talked to a Verizon rep through their website's chat function. They were amazingly helpful, answered all of my questions, and I even think they were human. I had misunderstood how the National Email plan works (well, I think I did. They're all confusing and not described very well). The Blackberry Storm wasn't such an impossible idea after all. Especially with the 20% off code they gave me for the heck of it.
Then when I clicked on "Buy Now" it brought up buying info for the Blackberry Curve. Curses! Oh well, what's a few more hours, not to mention the shipping.
Hmm? Oh, it's 11:50. Well, I could wait ten minutes more. But then again, I think I'd rather handle this during the day. Midnight and money do not work well together in my brain.
I managed to turn write my page and a halfish paper on a local issue, which is nice. I can't remember how or why, but I did mine on a proposed ATV recreation park. I hate ATVs myself. As a hiker and a walker I think they're as dangerous as they are obnoxious. But maybe if they build this they'll go there instead of on our paved walkways outside residential areas.
But now I have an hour to burn before work ends and not much to do. So I'll show you this!
A great example of the mostly humorous and always insightful index card art from Indexed. It's my favorite brand of complex ideas in simplistic forms.
Y'know, I probably should have covered this instead over on my "and Stuff" Vox, but....well I don't feel like it so there!
Finally! someone has explained it all.
Let me explain it this way. From my observations there are different stages of love you can have at different ages. I was stuck with stupid young love and got over that quickly, and I don't need to try it again. For the older set, well, I've even theorized that I'm not going to find anyone to love until I'm in my 30's. It seems at that point people are ready for a real relationship based on emotional ties and companionship instead of just using dating for socializing purposes.
BUT I'm not 30. I'd like to try the mid-level sometime. A sort of bridge between being stupid love and wise love. The 20's seem to be the time to date while pretending to be a mature adult. It's the time for more active dating, like hiking or going to art galleries (at least that's what I'd do). It's a hypocrisy probably, because 30's old can do all of that too. But when you're 20 you're thinking about your life instead of living in it. Like I said, you're pretending to be a mature adult. The sense of an unknown future can be enhanced if you're with someone who may or may not be part of it.
What the heck? I was just going to post a funny comic. Don't think I haven't forgotten about you February 14th! You'll not fool me into being wistful or nostalgic! Your commercialized candy and 30% off sales on ugly, expensive jewelry have no affect on me! Your love is a false one, of profit, materialism and forced recognition! True love is about awkward confessions, inside jokes and unplanned, quiet nights doing nothing together!
Nay, stay back, wicked holiday of deception and chaos! Stay back!
